Hi, I'm Ashley. I'm a 23 year old hobby photographer. I love taking pictures of people and nature. I'm no where near being a professional, I just enjoy being behind a camera. I use a Canon Rebel with a standard lense. I hope to upgrade to a better camera and a portrait lense because portraits are my specialty. I really got out of photography for quite some time. The last time I did a photoshoot, the subject and her friend stole my photos. They edited them to their liking, removing my watermark and ignoring my requests to take down the photos and to stop removing my credit. It was such a struggle and I felt defeated. Why should I keep offering my services if people are going to abuse it?

But I've taken it as a learning opportunity. I'm not so nice when it comes to doing favors for someone. If they want me to do photos for them, well then they're going to be paying me for the service. And they'll be verbally agreeing to not alter my photos. I'm also making sure that when I post photos online, I make it VERY hard for someone to remove the credit, rather than having it so they can easily crop out (my biggest 'friendly' mistake).

It will be a challenge to stop people from stealing though, but I'm up to it! I have two photoshoots lined up for next weekend, and I'm doing some friend shoots in the next couple of days! I'm so excited to get back into it. This fall weather, and the scenery has really inspired me and I can't wait to see how the photos turn out :)

Sorry for the lack of updates, winter is a horrible season for photoshoots. Especially for super pale people. With my camera being broke and not being able to change settings, I just work with what I've got. But a few weeks ago I did manage to get out there and do some photos with my best friend. Here are a couple from that day :)

I love taking pictures of the sky, any time of the day. I think it's the most beautiful thing in the world. I have absolutely no problem sitting outside staring at the sky all day long. It seriously is the most amazing thing in the world. The colors are so pretty, it's really hard to get a bad picture of the sky.

I went for a drive with a friend of mine and we came across this really pretty place to take fall pictures. I made a mental note of how to get there and asked my sister if she wanted to go and do some pictures for me. This is one of those pictures. I think they turned out really well. I'll probably add more over time when I have nothing else to post.
